"Discover the story behind "Ardicampo", which means "sheep camp" in Basque. This term was named after Camille Pradere, a Basque sheep herder who owns a ranch on the Carson River. When I moved to Dayton in 1972, I had the opportunity to live in one of Camille's old houses, which I later purchased. During this time, I had the privilege of assisting Camille with various ranch chores, such as working with the sheep and cattle and cutting firewood. The experience was truly unique and allowed me to gain an appreciation for the hard work that goes into running a ranch.
