Meet Madame Ginoux and her baby, two of the residents in our peacock community. Madame Ginoux is particularly noteworthy as she played a significant role in art history. She was the landlady of Vincent Van Gogh when he lived in Arles, France. It was during this period that Van Gogh famously cut off his ear. Madame Ginoux, as a well-known figure in the community, was a frequent subject of Van Gogh's paintings. In fact, he painted her portrait twice, once in 1888 and again in 1890. Today, Madame Ginoux and her baby continue to roam our grounds, adding beauty and charm to our little corner of the world.
