My beloved wife, Johnye, spent her formative years in the bustling city of Hong Kong, where she was exposed to the rich and diverse culture of China. In the 1980s, we embarked on a series of travels throughout China, where we were captivated by the ubiquitous presence of dragons in Chinese art and mythology. The sheer variety of dragon depictions and interpretations we encountered was truly awe-inspiring, and we were determined to channel this fascination into our own creative endeavors. As a result, we created a stunning woodcut that paid homage to this majestic and symbolic creature, which we proudly incorporated into our Christmas series.
