One afternoon, while I was painting in my studio, I noticed my daughter Jessica playing outside on the swing set. She was dressed up and had her new doll with her. The colors of her dress and the doll, along with the sky, combined with the white picket fence and the morning glories to create a beautiful moment. Jessica named the painting "Up to the Sky" because she used to say that she was going up to the sky whenever she went out to swing.
