This commission was organized to raise funds for the Virginia & Truckee Railroad, which was well known for operating the bullet shaped McKeen Motorcar. Although many of these cars were manufactured, only a handful have survived to this day. One of them has been fully restored by the Nevada Railroad Museum in Carson City.

The end of World War II has brought everyone together at the station, and the atmosphere is buzzing with excitement. Several distinguished personalities are present among the crowd, including Hal Holbrook, Patricia Hitchcock, Paul Revere, Tony Curtis, Doug Clifford and Stew Cook from Creedence Clearwater Revival, Nevada Governor Kenny Quinn, Toni Tenniel, Darrel Dragon, Dean Stockwell, Lacy J Dalton, Juice Newton, Kevin Cadagon from Third Eye Blind, Janie Frickie, and many others.
