Hello from Evergreen Studio,

We have a lot of exciting news to share in this months Newsletter. Everything from Awards and Honors to a new baby foal born on the ranch.

"People's Choice Award"

The Nevada Artists Association announced that one of Steven's paintings, "The Nesting", from our children's book, won the "People's Choice Award" at their recent show. The Award was quite an honor and came with a ribbon and a cash award. The ribbon will go in the studio and the cash award will go to caring for our new baby foal born here on March 15th, named "Little Bear".

"Kent State University, Life Time Achievement Award"

Steven was also recently honored by Kent State University with their "Life Time Achievement Award" from the University's School of Visual Communication Design. The Walker+Buchanan Founder's Award, is being scheduled for this Fall, details to follow. Steven plans to attend the ceremony to accept the award if all goes as planned.

"Christmas and Carol" sells out, again

We are thrilled that once again our children's book "Christmas and Carol" has sold out it's third publishing! We're scheduling a new publishing of the book and are excited it is doing so well. We're hoping to have it available in bookstores in time for Christmas.

Proceeds from the book are earmarked for the care and feeding of the hundred or so rescue animals living here in our care. Checkout "Christmas and Carol" in our store and please purchase a copy or more for family and friends.

Animal rescue is a big part of what we do and we make art donations available to organizations of all kinds. Contact us about your organization and it's purpose and perhaps we can help.

New painting and Limited Edition prints, "Fiddle Sticks"

Checkout "Fiddle Sticks", one of Steven's new paintings. This delightful scene depicts a historic log cabin that is in dire need of repair. Built in the 1920's for a Tom Mix movie, it is also reported that the artist Will James lived there for awhile. Joining with Nevada Congressman, Mark Amodei, we're trying to raise awareness of it's plight and having it restored before it's to late.

Thanks for visiting with us. We appreciate your kind comments and look forward to hearing from you.

  Cheers: Johnye and Steven Saylor
