During one of the cattle drives at the Allran Ranch, half of the herd decided to take a leap of faith and bolt for the green grass on the other side of the river.
Without hesitation, we chased the runaway cattle through the rushing current of the Carson River. Herding them back from their green paradise took most of a day.
