I have enjoyed painting water and wanted to capture the power and grandeur of a mountain waterfall.
Having searched the local Sierra mountains and not finding exactly the image I had in mind, I set about creating on with colored pencils.
Finally working up the scene I had visualized, I set about creating the painting. This is one of the only scenes I have painted that doesn't contain a figure.
